Senior Specialist - Financial Crime Compliance


Will be responsible for conducting name screening and other compliance activities and support AXA entities who have a mandate from the AXA Group to perform due diligence with an objective to combat money laundering, internal control lapses, insurance frauds and other financial improprieties

Key responsibilities:
  • Own and deliver AML – Name screening process by owning the quality of output through individual excellence and focus on value additions  
  • Understand and develop a knowhow of the business requirement with a strong base of domain knowledge 
  • Maintain proactive communication with the client and maintain zero surprise frameworks 
  • Act as thought business advisor in identifying opportunities that may create potential business impact 
  • Support Manager to conduct periodic Quality Assurance checks (Review and report the True hits identified by the Analysts) 
  • Coach and mentor the junior team members and act as a bridge between business partners and FCC team to drive key business objectives 
Key skills:
  • Fluency in French - speaking, reading and writing (mandatory)
  • Overall 5+ years of experience  
  • Banking and Insurance experience (AML) will be an added advantage 
  • Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, and procedures from an operational perspective  
  • Excellent communication and email writing skills  
  • Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint  
  • CAMS Certification or other Compliance certification, preferred  
  • Minimum Graduation  
  • Ability to work and adapt to a dynamic environment  
  • Ability to communicate with all areas of the business including other departments and Senior Management
  • Professional attitude with the ability to demonstrate high ethical standards  
  • Strong technical knowledge, compliance awareness, and analytical skills  
  • Good organizational and time management skills  
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to spot any anomalies
