Actuarial Consultant


Will be responsible for driving experience analysis and assumption setting, team objectives and new ideation, process improvement and more

Key responsibilities:
  • Reserving on US GAAP, IFRS and STAT reporting basis for designated products
  • Drive experience analysis and assumption setting process for designated products
  • Handle EEV and CFT projection calculations for designated products
  • Review SOX controls and handle audit questions independently
  • Code enhancements in models for regulatory changes
  • Handle year-end statutory reporting
  • Support improvement initiatives
  • Drive team objectives and generate new ideas for team development
  • Support ad-hoc projects if any
  • Handle a small team of junior resources
  • Develop documentation around the existing processes
Key skills:
  • A graduate in Statistics/Mathematics/Finance/Actuarial from reputed institute with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of US Life insurance, annuity and pension products
  • Excellent knowledge of US regulations
  • Good working knowledge of PolySystems, GGY AXIS, Perl and Advanced Excel
  • Ability to coach, mentor and train junior resources
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
